Little Women
as Marmee
I was so honored to be a part UCO's production of Little Women directed by Greg White, music directed by Joe Fitzgerald, and choreographed by Hui Cha Poos! It gave me such joy to tell the heartwarming story of a tight-knight family of "little women" as they come of age, with the help from their mother, love for each other, and daring imagination. I played the role of Marmee, the girls' adoring and independent mother, who supports her daughters as they navigate youth into adulthood, romance, and grief. What an impact this show has made on me.

The Wedding Singer
as Linda
Produced by UCO's School of Music in Mitchell Hall Theatre, The Wedding Singer was directed by Steven Smeltzer! This 80's throwback musical is based off the hit Adam Sandler movie of the same title and follows a wedding singer, Robbie, after he is left at the alter by his ex-fiance Linda. Robbie learns to love again with the help of a quirky waitress, Julia.
Sister Act
as Mother Superior
Sister Act was produced by UCO's own School of Music and performed at the iconic UCO Jazz Lab. Directed by Kassie Carrol-Downey and choreographed by UCO Alumn Jessica Cajina. The musical was adapted by the popular Whoopi Goldberg film of the same title. When Delores, a club singer with dreams and ambitions, witnesses her boyfriend, owner of the club, murder one of his men. She is put into witness protection and is hidden at a convent in Philadelphia. As she learns more about faith and love, Delores becomes lifelong friends with the sisters of the convent and helps them find their voices through their choir. With a score by Disney's Alan Menken, the show is such a blast, filled with goofy jokes and heart wrenching ballads alike!

RENT
as Mimi Marquez
RENT was produced by UCO's School of Music and performed on the Mitchell Hall stage. Directed by Scott Guthrie and choreographed by UCO Alumn Jessica Cajina, this show holds a special place in my heart. The rehearsal process Scott initiated changed my perspective on rehearsal processes in general, in terms of willingness to accept every person in the cast and crew for who and how they are. This story is quite dear to me because the struggles faced by the characters hold many parallels to my own life. I have personally experienced loss due to drug abuse in my own family and close community. Due to circumstances I have committed to a life of sobriety and have succeeded thus far since January of 2021!
